The Aritco Story

In 1995 four entrepreneurs founded Aritco in a living room in Kungsängen outside Stockholm. All four had experience in the elevator business, and all agreed that there was a need for a new kind of product that was smarter to use and easier to install, easier to operate, and significantly less expensive than the elevators that were on the market back then.

The four, all engineers, built their first elevator by hand. And the rest is what we say, history. After having passed through two factories in Kungsängen, Aritco is now based in a 16.000 sqm large factory and office in Veddesta outside Stockholm. Today, Aritco produces 4.000 elevators a year that are sold in 40 countries through more than 170 distributors.

Safety in every detail

Aritco's SmartSafety system makes the Aritco HomeLift safe for people of all ages be it for children or the elderly using PWD equipment.

In a family with children, a home must be safe to play in. This also applies to modern-day lifts. Aritco’s smart homelift doors detect if something is in the way when they close, and they open automatically if they do. The doors can also be locked, if needed.

It is also possible to lock the control panel to prevent the lift from being used. A key symbol indicates whether the lift is locked or not. The lift can still be called from another floor when locked and is lit until the lock is turned off.

Directly make an emergency call from the lift by pushing the alarm button, which is connected to a pre-programmed telephone number.

Aritco’s mechanism for driving the lift up and down use a well-proven and reliable screw-and-nut drive system. This means that the lift will not fall down if any fault should occur. The drive system also makes the lift move more quietly compared to other homelifts or elevators, with a soft start and stop.

If the lift is used during a power failure and stops between two floors, a spare battery is activated and will ensure that the lift goes immediately to the nearest floor. The spare battery also has a function that keeps it from running down, even if the power is disconnected.

Aritco Homelifts meet Europe’s strictest safety requirements and standards. It is also CE-certified, which means that it is a safe product, according to EU rules.
